The twitter list I am trying to compile has a challenge. The challenge is that, my blog, is about throwing myself into things that I don’t know things about. The list that I have come up with is a vague congregation of places and people who I feel will give me some valuable information of things on around Melbourne
- Mike Larkan (@MikeLarkan) – Mike Larkan is always out of the studio when doing his weather report. Sometimes he will be doing cross promotions of festivals and events that are about to happen. This will be handy for spontaneous trips to cultural things I had no idea were on.
- Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (@humanrightsfest) – Discovered by talking to a friend on residence, the HRAFF is an event showing independent movies at the St Kilda Town Hall from April to May. They are also throwing a couple of parties where the alcohol is part of the ticket. Behave. Following these tweets will be beneficial if there is a slight change of scheduling.
- Poof Doof (@POOFDOOF1000) – This is a dare from a reader. The Poof Doof is a club in the city that, obviously, is marketed for gay people. I think it is just a standard venue and not a themed night. Following this venue will help me decide which night I will go there.
- Melbourne Secrets (@DanTheVenueMan) – This tweeter is about finding new places in the city to hang out. It is mainly about hidden bars up staircases and down lane ways. I hope that it can discover some places that are just not generic places that are hidden. I would love to go to a weird, hidden bar very soon. It’s also a good excuse get a chick to tag along behind you.
- AVI (@AustVolunteers) – Volunteer organisations obviously need to have very good fundraising skills to be able to maintain their interests. Hopefully they promote some good events in the months to come.
- Melbourne Writers’ Festival (@MelbWritersFest) – This is happening from 22nd August to 1st September. I think this is something everyone should follow. It will give as the chance to mingle with like-minded people in a relaxed environment.
- Broadsheet Melbourne (@Broadsheet_Melb) – I am using this to get a collection of vague ideas of things that I can do. It doesn’t seem all that relevant at the moment, hopefully a diamond springs up out of the rough.
- Trolling Like A Boss (@LikeABossTroll) – I have fun putting in all those booby trap links in my blogs. I, hopefully, maybe get some inspiration for some fun on this feed so my booby traps don’t go stale. Apart from that, it will be irrelevant
- Things Bogans Like (@thingboganslike) – This pretentious blog is something that I will read to make sure that I am doing the right thing by these high and mighty people. We cannot have anyone feeling uncomfortable so I will check into TBL to make sure I am doing the right thing by all hipsters I come across.
- Harry O’ Brien (@harry_0) – I am a massive Collingwood fan. I am not a massive Harry O’Brien fan when he is off the field. He is a massive flog who was trending #harryobullshit a few weeks ago as he claimed to have witnessed a person being murdered in his native Brazil. There are whispers of festivals and events in his tweets occasionally.
